  • Why Natural Gas
  • Why Israel CNG

Israel will very soon be a major natural gas producer.

Picture
Israel very recently (2009-2010) discovered the two largest natural gas fields to have been found in the world (Tamar and Leviathan) in the past decade.  This has been followed by multiple additional finds, virtually guaranteeing that Israel will be joining the ranks of major gas producing countries in the coming years.

Israel is rapidly transitioning to natural gas as its fuel of choice.

Israel is rapidly transitioning to a brighter, cleaner and more secure energy future, one based on domestically produced natural gas instead of imported coal and crude oil.  Israeli-produced natural gas can meet almost all of our daily household, commercial and industrial energy needs, including:
Electricity and steam
Heating and cooling
Raw materials for chemical
manufacturing
Transportation fuel
Cooking and lighting
Energy for freshwater production (desalination)
Not surprisingly then, we have seen explosive demand growth since natural gas use was first introduced in 2004; and the Ministry of Energy and Water expects demand to almost quadruple over the next thirty years.
